Eligibility for the Scholarships

For Freshman Year Collegiate Scholarships:

Any student residing in and graduating from a high school (public or private) in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco or Manatee counties; who has been accepted to, and plans to attend, one of the six State Maritime Colleges or the United States Merchant Marine Academy; is eligible to apply.

For Collegiate Renewals and Non-Freshman Applicants:

Any student attending one of the six State Maritime Colleges / The United States Merchant Marine Academy; and planning to return for the upcoming academic year is eligible to apply. In the selection process, priority is given to Freshman applicants and students applying for renewal of previous years’ collegiate awards.

For Technical Scholarships:

Any individual residing in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco or Manatee counties; who has been accepted to, and plans to attend, a technical Maritime Training program is eligible to apply.
